Total Spanish / French Immersion Overnight Camp
Schedule

       May 25 - May 30th
       Sunday through Friday
       24 Hours a day

Location

       Wasatch Park/Lake & Surroundings
       in Poland, Indiana


A perfect camp for children to go on a learning vacation, be away from home, master Spanish or French, make new friends, relax, and have lots of fun!
Directions:

       1. Take I-70 West past the Indianapolis
           Airport (for approximately 35 miles)

       2. Take Exit 37
           (State Road 243 for Putnamville)

       3. Turn left onto State Road 243 South
           ( continue for approximately 5 miles)

       4. Turn right onto State Road 42 West
           (continue for approximately 4 miles)

       5. There will be a green Wasatch Lake sign
           indicating to turn left onto Jordan Village Road
           (775 West)

Departure/Arrival Procedure:

       4 Campers will be leaving Forest Glen on Sunday, July 09 at 2:00 PM.

       4 Campers will be returning to Forest Glen on Friday, July 14 around 3:30 PM.

      Campers Will Need to Bring:

       4 Sleeping bag
       4 Fishing pole
       4 Change of clothes (for one week)
       4 A small tent (not required)

Benefits

       In this program, campers will be truly be immersed in Spanish/French language
       24 hours a day. This camp is designed to give Spanish/French immersion students a unique
       and in-depth language immersion experience that will enable them to improve their language
       proficiencyin the areas the academic setting does not provide. This will enable them to develop
       critical vocabulary and expressions in the second language acquisition process. They will be
       listening, speaking, and learning the language in a unique setting as they explore:

       4 Science: by learning about fascinating live water and land animals.

       4 Nature: by learning how to differentiate between trees, leaves, types of land, and
           bodies of water as they explore fishing, hiking, creek stomping, canoeing, etc.

       4 Sports: by participating in team building activities, collective sports, etc.

       4 Excursions: by taking daily nature walks, playing international games and sports, going
           horseback riding, spending a day on the beach, and riding in a pontoon boat at Lieber
           State Recreation Area and more.

       4 Arts: by learning and producing international arts and crafts, exploring theater,
           acting, drama, music, and dance.  Students will work individually and in small groups.
           The daily activities will enable students to develop responsibility, problem solving, and
           leadership skills.  Students will be taking care of their belongings and participate in
           maintaining their cabins by doing chores such as cooking, cleaning, etc.  Campers will
           speak and listen to SPANISH/FRENCH AT ALL TIMES.  No English communication will be
           allowed during the camp.

No refunds will be made after March 17, 2006. Like every year, as the camp fills up, we will have a waiting list.  You will be notified as soon as we receive the registration and the payment.
